Expertise in the service of a global strategy

Wealth solutions only make sense when they answer a situation, an objective and a time horizon. Arius approaches each area of expertise as a component of an overall architecture, taking into account the financial, civil, tax, legal, family and international dimensions.

01

Wealth engineering

Wealth engineering aims to organise private and business wealth in a coherent way. It begins with a complete analysis of the situation: composition of the assets, how they are held, matrimonial property regime, corporate structures, commitments, family objectives.

From this analysis flow the structuring questions: should a holding or family company be created or reorganised? Does the matrimonial regime genuinely protect the spouse? Does the current ownership structure serve the transmission plans? Is the civil-law organisation aligned with the reality of the family and the business?

Arius supports its clients in these structuring choices — protection of the spouse and family, organisation of holdings, preparation of transmission — working closely with the client's notaries, lawyers and accountants whenever implementation requires it.

Legal and tax dimensions are integrated into the wealth advisory engagement as part of the firm's principal activity of wealth advice and, where necessary, in coordination with the client's specialist advisers.
02

Financial allocation and wealth construction

A wealth allocation is not a collection of products: it is a construction. It translates a risk profile, a time horizon, liquidity needs, a tax position and objectives — income, capitalisation or transmission — into a coherent, diversified investment architecture.

Depending on the situation, this architecture may draw on different wrappers and asset classes: life insurance, capitalisation contracts, retirement savings plans, securities accounts, patrimonial and bond funds, private equity, collective real estate. Each building block is retained for the function it performs within the whole, never for its own sake. Where the situation justifies it, bespoke solutions may be examined.

Structured products may be considered where they answer an identified wealth objective, a suitable risk profile and a coherent investment horizon. They are not a solution as a matter of principle, but a possible instrument within a global allocation. All investments involve risks, including the risk of capital loss.
03

Life insurance, capitalisation and Luxembourg solutions

Life insurance and capitalisation contracts are among the most flexible instruments of wealth architecture: they serve investment, availability of savings and transmission alike. Their value, however, depends on how they are structured — beneficiary clause, holding arrangements, articulation with the rest of the estate.

Depending on the client's situation, Arius may integrate French or Luxembourg solutions into the wealth architecture, in particular where considerations of mobility, diversification, legal certainty, transmission or international structuring justify it. The choice between the two frameworks is never a matter of prestige: it is a matter of suitability to the situation, particularly for clients moving between France and Spain.

04

Real estate

Real estate occupies a singular place in private wealth: it reassures, it structures, it transmits — but it also commits over the long term. Direct ownership, civil property companies, family holding structures, collective real estate vehicles such as SCPIs, division of ownership between bare ownership and usufruct: each mode of holding carries its own consequences for income, taxation, liquidity and transmission.

Arius helps its clients place their real estate assets — existing or planned — within their overall strategy: seeking complementary income, balancing yield and liquidity, preparing transmission, articulating property with financial and business wealth.

Real estate is analysed as a component of the overall wealth allocation, taking into account yield, risk, liquidity, taxation and transmission objectives.
05

Protection of the business owner and continuity of wealth

For a business owner, wealth protection is not limited to investment. Remuneration, personal protection insurance, ownership of shares, business partners, family, professional commitments and transmission form a coherent whole — and it is often the least visible link that weakens the entire chain.

Arius supports business owners, entrepreneurs and partners in analysing their personal, professional and wealth protection, in order to anticipate the consequences of a contingency: death, incapacity, disability, loss of income, disruption of the shareholding structure or weakening of the company.

This work covers the owner's social protection and personal insurance, the protection of the spouse and family, borrower's insurance and the coverage of professional commitments, as well as the mechanisms that protect the company itself: cross-insurance between partners, key-person cover, and the organisation of share buy-backs in the event of death or disability. These arrangements are designed in coherence with the articles of association and shareholders' agreements, in coordination with the lawyers, notaries and accountants concerned.

06

Business owners and entrepreneurs

For an entrepreneur, wealth decisions are rarely separate from the business. Remuneration, corporate treasury, social protection, ownership of shares, taxation, partners and family plans must be thought through together. Arius helps make this architecture more legible, more coherent and better followed over time.

The firm intervenes at the moments that shape an entrepreneur's trajectory: remuneration choices and the balance between private and business wealth, investment of corporate treasury, preparation of a sale, reinvestment of proceeds after a transaction, organisation of shareholder agreements and governance, and preparation of the transmission of the business.

07

International — France & Spain

Arius supports clients whose wealth situation has an international dimension, in particular between France and Spain. Residence, family, real estate assets, investments, company, taxation and transmission must then be analysed in a coordinated way.

International mobility, assets held in several countries, the question of tax residence, the choice of wrappers and contracts suited to cross-border situations, succession planning between two jurisdictions: so many subjects where an overall reading avoids decisions taken in silos.

Where the situation requires it, Arius works in coordination with the competent legal, tax and accounting advisers in each jurisdiction.
